After nearly threeyears of effort, the 353’ multipurpose bridge now connects the Grand Detour Parkand Camping de la Rivière Matane at the place of the old wooden dam demolishedin 1981. This cable-stayed bridge is unique in Eastern Québec. It crosses the MataneRiver with a span of 107 meters and 3.6 meters of roadway. With a carryingcapacity of 8000 kg it facilitates the movement of quads, snowmobiles, the groomerensuring the maintenance of trails (352 km) as well as hikers and cyclists, golfersand their karts. In addition, the construction ensures a more harmonious coexistencebetween the off-road vehicles and the villagers.
